What
to Expect From Us
(Directors & Coaches) |
What
We Expect From You
(Parents & Players) |
- We
will over communicate with players and parents about
all practices, tournaments and what is expected for
Strictly Hoops to run successfully.
-
We will place the emotional and physical well-being
of our players ahead of a personal desire to win.
- We
will treat each player as an individual, remembering
the large range of emotional and physical development
for the same age group.
- We
will take reasonable measures to honor all commitments
to athletes.
- We
will do our best to provide a safe playing situation
for our players.
- We
will lead by example in demonstrating fair play and
sportsmanship to all our players.
- We
will do our best to organize practices that are fun
and challenging for all our players.
- We
will provide a sports environment for our teams that
is free of drugs, tobacco, and alcohol, and we will
refrain from their use at all youth sports events.
-
We will be knowledgeable in the rules of girls’
basketball and will teach these rules to our players.
- We
will remember that we are youth sports coaches, and
that the game is for children and not for adults.
|
- We
ask that if you do not understand something, ask us
to clarify.
- We
ask that if you have a conflict or disagreement with
another person, please wait 24 hours and then bring
it to Scott or Roxanne's attention.
-
We ask that you place the emotional and physical well-being
of all players ahead of a personal desire to win.
- We
ask that you lead by example in demonstrating sportsmanship
to all players and other teams.
- We
ask that you let the Coaches coach and that Parents
be parents.
- We
ask that you remember that we are a youth sport, and
that the game is for children and not for adults.
- Most
importantly, we ask that you have fun!

Other
Information
Score
Keeper – AAU is requiring that each team provides
their own score keeper to sit at the clock table. The coach
will have your teams’ book and we ask that the position
is rotated amongst the parents or if someone would like to
volunteer to do all the games that would be fantastic.
Tournaments
- For
those parents who are new to AAU, game times are typically
available to us the Thursday before a tournament.
