GAME RULES

High School rules apply.
Games are scheduled every 1 hour and 15 minutes apart.
Teams are required to provide a score keeper

  1. 5th & 6th - 14 minute halves
  2. All other ages - 16 minute halves
  3. All Games are stop clock time
  4. Games shall start the later of:
    1. The scheduled start time
    2. 5 minutes following the completion of prior game
  5. 10 minute warm up with 5 minute half-time
  6. 10 second backcourt. 0n Ball 5 second count while dribbling is in affect (Front Court)
  7. Time outs: 3 full, 2- 30 second per game, one additional full time out per overtime period. Time outs carry over to overtime.
  8. Overtime period 2 minutes stopped clock - All additional overtimes 1 minute stopped clock.
  9. Free throws:
    1. All players may enter the lane when the ball hits the rim.
    2. 6 players below free throw line, 4 defensive players, 2 offensive players (plus shooter who is above free throw line).
  10. Coaches are responsible for listing players on the official score sheet/book prior to start of the game.
  11. Mercy Rule: if there is a 20 point lead in the last 8 min of 2nd half, clock will run. (Whenever score drops below 20, clock will stop again).

Home team (top top of bracket or first team in pool) will wear light jerseys. Visiting team will wear dark jerseys. If correct uniform not available, pinneys will be worn, and is the responsibility of the team without correct uniform.

No food or drinks will be permitted in the stands. Team must clean their benches after each game.

BASIC RULES
  • Ball size Girls - 28.5 Boys 6th - 28.5 Boys 7th - Regulation Size
  • Technical fouls results in (2) shots and the ball.
  • No jewelry, plastic bracelets, ear rings, etc...Shall be worn by players.
  • Tie breaker determined by, #1 Head to Head, #2 points scored (max. 13 points per game)
  • The game may start earlier than scheduled time, only if both coaches agree to start early, NOT the Officials.

ZERO TOLERANCE RULE:
Any spectator involved in fighting (physical contact with another), spitting, or provoking behavior towards another person during, shall not be allowed in or around any gym of the event being held. Also shall not be allowed back to future events. Absolutely no profanity from spectators, players or coaches will be allowed. Any spectator that is causing a problem, (verbally) shall be asked to leave the gym, by lead official or site director. That spectator may/may not be allowed back to future games. Lead official or Site Director has the right to ask any person to leave the gym site.
